The Me-Time Mixtape: Three essential hand-curated links and resources on creative self-care. Carve out some me time this week!

Love is in the air with Valentine's Day around the corner. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ While there are many ways to express our love, today's episode is on charity and sustainable acts of kindness. I'm hoping to inspire you to think about our collective impact to counter the violence, prejudice and hate that's out in the world these days. I want us to recognize the impact our giving, on any scale, can have on others around us.

As Mother Teresa said,

We can do no great things, only small things with great love.

Today's podcast episode (number 48) offers 26 small gestures of kindness that reflect how your good deeds can reap great dividends in someone else's life. As a caregiver, I give a lot already, but these small gestures of kindness always give me more than they take. They are sustainable, little bits of love that I put out into the world, and in return, they keep me going.

#1 Curated Gifts with Love

Want to make someone's day? Check out Simply Very Nice, and send a gift that's designed especially for them. Shefali's gifts are hand-picked from among some of the best women-owned small businesses that source their goods sustainably. She offers everything from chocolates to candles, self-care beauty items, and luxury purses and scarves. She recently started a partnership with the Harlem Candle Company, and infuses every bit of love she has into each one of her gift collections.

And the Mother Teresa quote I used in today's podcast episode? I "borrowed" that idea from a similar Mother Teresa quote that Shefali uses in her email signature and as inspiration for her company's mission: โ€œItโ€™s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.โ€ Shefali makes small gifts with great love. She also picks a charity each month to donate part of her profits. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ
