The Me-Time Mixtape: Three essential hand-curated links and resources on creative self-care. Carve out some me time this week!

Are you noticing the first blooms of spring? Some don't think much of the forsythia, crocus, and daffodils that bloom here in NYC first, but these little messengers of spring are the bravest in my opinion.

They often get pelted with ice and snow – or, as we recently experienced, torrential rain and wind. But still, they stand. We can learn much about resilience from nature.

And you – all of you – are just as wondrous as these first flowers. Today's episode is on reveling in the wondrous you. I'm tired of hearing self-loathing rants in the context of personal growth. We can love ourselves, recognize our wondrous ways, and still strive for new goals.

#1 Forsythia Blooms: The Happiest Yellow

I'm a Forsythia chronicler. I know it's not a real vocation, but they're one of my mom's favorite plants, and now, when I see them in bloom all over NYC's Central Park, I think of her, and I smile.

With their hardy stems and branches (and pretty yellow blooms), forsythia are untamed and strong. Let's take a moment to enjoy them—and all the other first buds and blossoms of spring.

Write one sentence each night for a week in response to each of these seven prompts:

✍️
1. What are you grateful for today? 2. What moment felt good today? 3. Who did you connect with in a meaningful way? 4. What new thing did you learn today? 5. What surprised you today? 6. What beautiful thing did you see today? 7. What is/was a priority for you today?
